Fashion world never stops, it keeps on offering us new ways of wearing particular things. In today’s post, I want to show you how to rock normcore trend in 2018. If you are not familiar with normcore trend, then I’ve got some explanation for you. This is an anti-trend trend that has nothing with fashion. Sounds weird? Usually, we think of the way we look when we choose new garments, right? Wearing normcore trend the first thing that pops into our mind is the comfort. Personally, I think of laidback, easy-to-wear, low-key garments, as well as masculinity and athleticism. Anyway, if you do want to know more about it and create your own look, then you are more than welcome to see my favorite tips and tricks on how to wear normcore trend this year.
Keep it low-key. Forget about newest trends and stick to confident and uncomplicated basics. Simplicity, unlabeled garments, and comfort- these are your best friends. Go for relaxed fit charcoal cardigan and style it with light grey T-shirt paired with skinny ripped white jeans and classic white trainers. Or keep it athletic inspired by wearing nylon hoodie styled with a sporty pullover, skinny indigo jeans, and ankle-boots in black leather. Neutral color are your best friends. Stick to neutral hues and avoid bright and vibrant shades. You can create perfect monochromatic looks, all you need is to keep things simple and basic. Try on high-neck loose-fit grey sweater paired with a ribbed knit black midi skirt and pointed toe black leather ankle-boots, or keep it totally black colored completing the look by adding a regular fit beige-grey coat. Speaking of basics, then I recommend sticking to tracksuit pants, regular jeans, baseball caps, regular-fit sweatshirts, solid color socks, flannel shirts, turtlenecks, Birkenstocks and solid color slip-on shoes. Nothing is better than basic and simple separates. Normcore is not nerd looking nor old schoolish or 1990’s inspired. It’s all about keeping things comfy, basic and a bit mannish. Just because most of the normcore outfits look minimalistic doesn’t mean you are not allowed get accessorized. Sure, you better avoid all those brightly colored diamonds and fancy jewelry, but you can stick to graphic prints, plain color clutch bags, and cute necklaces.
